We are pleased to introduce Sinem Kol Yildirim, a winner of the DigiWind DTU Open Call. Sinem is a researcher who is passionate about using digital innovation to solve real-world energy challenges.
Through the DigiWind scholarship, she will be joining the MSc Eng. in Sustainable Energy Systems at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

Exploring AI at DTU
For Sinem, studying at DTU has been a long-term goal. She is particularly interested in how advanced digital tools can improve our energy systems. “I am especially looking forward to exploring how AI and machine learning can be applied to renewable energy and electricity markets,” she says.
Her goal is to build a career in academia while maintaining strong links with the industry. She believes that DTU’s interdisciplinary environment is the perfect place to combine technical engineering with advanced digital skills.

Receiving the DigiWind award is a significant milestone for Sinem’s professional development. Beyond the financial support, she found the application process itself to be a rewarding experience.
