DigiWind made a significant impact at WindEurope 2025, which took place at the Bella Center from 8th to 10th April. Located at Stand C3-112, DigiWind offered attendees a comprehensive look into the future of wind energy education and professional development.
Throughout the three-day event, DigiWind highlighted its innovative approaches to digital learning and training. Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to experience Virtual Campus demos, providing a firsthand look at the project’s digital learning environment. DigiWind also introduced its new Master and M.Sc. courses, designed to cultivate the next generation of wind energy experts, alongside exciting LLL (Lifelong Learning) courses tailored to upskill existing industry professionals with industry-driven training. The stand hosted a packed agenda of activities, fostering networking and discussions with the DigiWind team and its project partners.
A key highlight of DigiWind’s presence was the active involvement of its project partners, who hosted various demonstrations, discussions, and activities aimed at accelerating innovation and digitalisation within the wind energy sector.
On the second day of the event, a particularly engaging session, “Who Works in Wind?”, took place as part of the Student Programme. Moderated by Jenni Rinker from DTU Wind and Energy Systems, DigiWind project partner, the session was met with enthusiastic participation. This insightful conversation underscored the diverse and crucial roles that contribute to the wind energy industry’s success, moving beyond the traditional focus on engineering. Alongside speakers from Vestas, Vattenfall, and other independent experts, Jenni helped attendees understand the broader spectrum of career pathways available. The discussion emphasised that the future of wind energy demands a wide array of talents and skillsets, extending far beyond conventional engineering roles. WindEurope was commended for highlighting these diverse career opportunities and encouraging future change-makers in the sector.
