On the 27th and 28th of June, the DigiWind consortium gathered for its highly anticipated 1st General Assembly meeting at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), within the Applied Sciences faculty. This event marked an essential milestone for the DigiWind project, which counted with fruitful discussions, innovative brainstorming sessions, and insightful presentations.
The two-day event was packed with presentations and discussions that showcased the efforts of each work package over the past six months. Representatives from each work package shared their progress, highlighting the milestones achieved and outlining the next steps. These updates provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s current status and its future direction, ensuring all consortium members were aligned and informed.
The consortium members engaged in productive discussions, exchanges of ideas and brainstorming sessions that were fundamental in refining the project’s objectives and strategies. The collaborative environment fostered a sense of unity and purpose, driving the team towards their common goal: future-proof the careers of STEM professionals in renewable energy, providing advanced digital skills in areas such as High-Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and other emerging technologies.
Participants had the unique opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facilities at TU Delft. The tours included visits to the Aerospace Engineering building and the NewMedia Centre, where attendees were introduced to cutting-edge technologies and research that could potentially benefit the DigiWind project.
A highlight of the meeting was the insightful presentations by Mikkel Egehave and Hanne Shapiro (Diplomasafe) on EBSI infrastructure micro credentials. Their expertise and knowledge provided valuable perspectives on the integration of micro credentials within the DigiWind framework, enhancing the consortium’s understanding of this emerging technology.
The 1st General Assembly meeting of the DigiWind project was a success, marked by collaboration, innovation, and strategic planning. As the consortium moves forward, the insights gained and the union strengthened during this assembly will undoubtedly propel the project towards achieving its ambitious goals.
