DigiWind Project highlighted at FarU Business Convention in Poland

On the 11th of April, the FarU Business Convention, a prestigious event for regional development, was held in Poland with a call for collaboration and innovation. Hosted by our partner Politechnika Gdańska, a leading technical university in Poland, the convention provided a platform for local government officials, researchers, and business leaders to converge and deliberate on propelling the Pomeranian region towards sustainable growth. Among the several participants, DigiWind emerged as a key project with progressive energy solutions.

The convention kicked off with a networking session, setting the stage for engaging discussions and fruitful exchanges. It counted with the participation of Professor Krzysztof Wilde, the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology, and Dr. Zbigniew Canowiecki, Chairman of the Economic Convention.

The agenda unfolded with a series of presentations about the various facets of energy development and sustainability in the Pomeranian Voivodeship: plans to transform Pomerania into a hub of renewable energy through interconnected energy islands; advancements in nuclear power technology; the potential of offshore wind energy, showcasing innovative approaches to harnessing the power of wind and water resources (presented by the Professor Marcin Łuczak, Director of the Offshore Wind Energy Center in Gdańsk University of Technology); renewable energy sources; renewable hydrogen demand forecast; and health and energy transformation.

The DigiWind project stood out as a catalyst for change, advocating for the integration of digital solutions in wind energy infrastructure. With its innovative approach and commitment to sustainability, DigiWind aims to revolutionize the renewable energy sector, developing professionals with digital skills in wind and energy systems engineering.
