The course is meant to give the students a basic knowledge of experimental aeroacoustics.
Fundamental knowledge and industrial applications will be covered to help the students who either want to continue with an academic or industrial career.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
– Describe how sound and noise sources are generated
– Identify the most important sources of noise in industrial applications and give indications on how to accurately measure them
– Predict and eventually propose your own ideas on possible mitigation techniques for noise sources in many engineering applications (including cars, rotors, aircraft)
Main Goal
The aim of the course Experimental Aeroacoustics is to provide the students with knowledge on how to measure and design an experiment for the study of noise sources in many industrial applications.
